This LGBTQ NFT Artwork is about Representative Tomomi Inada, a staunch advocate of a bill that would facilitate understanding of the LGBTQ community and sexual minorities.
On May 12, 2023, the bill was discussed at the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan headquarters in Tokyo and was very close to the party’s final approval, equivalent to passing it to parliament.
“The fact that there will be legislation to protect the communities involved as well as the rights of women of concern is a big step forward,” Inada said.
In 2015, Inada defied his party’s traditional opposition to LGBTQIA rights by forming a committee to discuss the issue.
