Sad Day in the US Constitution – NFT Artwork

US Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor – LGBTQ NFT Artwork

This LGBTQ NFT artwork is about US Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
On June 30, 2023, the Supreme Court allowed a Colorado web design company to refuse to create a same-sex wedding website.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor, dissenting from her colleagues’ decision, wrote that this is a sad day for the American Constitution and the lives of LGBTQ people.
“By issuing this new license to discriminate in a case brought by a company that seeks to deny same-sex couples the full and equal enjoyment of its services, the immediate, symbolic effect of the decision is to mark gays and lesbians for second-class status,” she added.
The other two dissenting members of the Supreme Court majority are Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson.
